Meet the Band
Smooth Sound is a band from Johnstown, Pennsylvania, playing jazz, R&B, soul, funk and classic rock for audiences of all ages.
Our story
Started for a cause
The band was formed on October 2, 2009, to perform fundraiser events for the local 501(c)(3) nonprofit Flood City Youth Fitness Academy — and it’s been an amazing journey ever since.
Smooth Sound started out playing jazz, R&B and classic rock, built a large fan base of all ages, and entertains at all kinds of venues: festivals and Juneteenth celebrations, galas and fundraisers, clubs, reunions and private parties.
